This year, Playworks Wisconsin has been lucky to have over 50 volunteers in counting!
April 24–April 28 is National Volunteer Week. Volunteers play a very important role in the success of our programming. They bring their expertise, ideas, energy, and enthusiasm to create a safe, fun place for students to play every day. Our largest volunteer partners are Marquette University and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Thanks to these partnerships, we can reach more kids and create more meaningful connections with every student.
Meet one of our incredible volunteers, Emma.
Emma is currently a senior at Marquette University studying corporate communications and marketing and will be joining Aerotek next year as a recruiter. She has proven to be a rockstar volunteer at Pierce Elementary, helping out at recess. Every Tuesday, Emma greets students with a smile and a high-five, hula hoops, runs relays, turns jump rope, and creates a fun, inclusive environment.
