Junior Coach Conference 2015

  1. Updates

On Friday, June 5, Playworks Wisconsin hosted a once in a lifetime Junior Coach Leadership Conference for approximately 180 4th and 5th grade students from 14 Milwaukee Public School partners. Playworks Junior Coaches have been developing their leadership skills all school year and have become positive role models for their peers as a result. With the conference theme of “Kid Power”, Junior Coaches engaged in a variety of inspiring and memorable leadership activities to celebrate the culmination of their leadership skills gained throughout this school year.

The day comprised of activities such as team building challenges, group discussion about how to make the world more awesome, a giant game of reverse capture the flag, and a Junior Coach led carnival, which included original games created and led by Junior Coaches. Through these activities, Junior Coaches left the conference feeling empowered to change the world using their individual kid power.

We want to give a special thank you to Mount Mary University for hosting our event, Target for donating supplies, and Craig Wilson with Kite Aerial Photography for taking photos.
