Corporate Play Day

  1. Updates

A Playworks Corporate Play Day is a fun, active team-building, community engagement, and/or service experience that takes as many as 20 of your employees from the office to the playground. We spend the day teaching participants the Playworks way and then send them off to to work/play, engaging with our youth, and in turn positively impacting their school day!

Participants can look forward to lots of physical activity – playing nostalgic games of kickball and four-square and learning some new recess games like hot shot soccer, hula hoop tag, and switch. Our elementary students and junior coaches are so excited when they have guests on the playground!

Typically, your company would provide a few days (Monday – Thursday) that you are available between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. (Recess time frames) and we’ll firm up a location and specific time (2.5 hours long) with one of our partner schools. Then you can begin recruiting co-workers to join you for a day of play.

The day typically consists of the following components:

(20 Min) – Welcome, icebreaker, introductions
(30 min) – Learning new games
(10 min) – Short break
(1 hour) – Participate in recess with our youth!
(30 min) – Debrief and final activity (many organizations also serve a lunch at this time, so that’s an option!)

The Playworks corporate recess program is customized for you by our local experts. It engages your staff in lively playground games that promote trust, collaboration, teamwork, and conflict resolution. These are key skills that help kids and adults succeed in life!

Here’s what our participants have to say about their Corporate Play Day…

“This day gave us ideas we can implement at the office to create a more cohesive team environment” – Samuel, Johnson Controls

“Playworks was able to engage an adult population in enjoyable youthful activities, geared to work with a variety of personalities” -Jami, General Mills

“The positive energy, enthusiasm, and passion of the Playworks staff was contagious!” – Dessa, ManpowerGroup

“Play can be productive too! From this experience, I will take away the idea that everyone can play, skill set and ability aside.”- Kim, Robert W. Baird

For more information or to sign up your company for a Play Day, contact Katy Glodosky at 414-220-4301 or kglodosky@playworks.org.

We look forward to playing with you!
