In just 54 hours one weekend this September, a team of designers, developers, advertisers and other top marketing professionals will come together to develop marketing materials to help Playworks impact thousands more kids on playgrounds in communities across Southern California. Forge 54 is a nonprofit organization that hosts a weekend of marketing to support a nonprofit organization of their choice. This year Forge 54 has selected Playworks Southern California.
Beginning the afternoon of Friday, September 12, 2014, a team of volunteers will collaborate to create mobile apps, mini-websites, commercials, social media content and more. Many volunteers will spend the entire weekend–even overnight–working together. First Forge 54 will raise $10,000 for food and materials for the weekend, then they will provide Playworks with an approximately $150,000 value of marketing materials and direction. And for an organization with a local marketing budget less than 1% of our operating cost, that is a huge value.
