Playworks Durham starts the school year full-force!

  1. Updates

After flying to Baltimore for preservice training with Playworks Baltimore and Chicago teams, and tons of practice recesses, our nine program coordinators hit the ground running (and playing) at the start of school on August 25! Debuting in nine schools in our premiere year, we are able to serve over 4,500 children daily with the power of play. After only a few weeks weeks with Playworks, Durham school staff are already reporting higher levels of engagement and inclusive play during recess. They also mirror our observation that the the rate of high-fives has increased dramatically.
