Transforming youth development through the power of play—our training at the Bridge Conference brought connection, creativity, and collaboration to center stage!
On November 4, we had the honor of showcasing a Power of Play training at the Bridge Conference in Tacoma, Washington—a gathering dedicated to exploring individual experiences, collective movements, and the evolving field of youth development.
Our session brought together a dynamic group of approximately 20 participants, including assistant educators, enrichment teachers, YMCA site coordinators, youth workers, STEM program managers, and other after-school program leaders. This diverse mix created an energetic and collaborative atmosphere perfect for engaging with the Power of Play.
What Made This Training Stand Out?
- High Engagement: 95% of participants actively joined in the games and discussions, making for a vibrant and interactive 90 minutes.
- Tailored Learning: The session sparked thoughtful questions about adapting play for students with disabilities and incorporating strategies for different learning styles.
- Practical Takeaways: Participants left with actionable resources, including our game guide, to continue integrating play into their work.
Through meaningful conversations, joyful participation, and practical strategies, this Power of Play training reinforced how play can transform the way we connect with and support youth.
