Playworks PACNW visits Alaska – Sept 2024

  1. Updates

Marie DeShetler, PACNW Program Specialist, shares about her experience on a recent visit to Alaska.

“Working for Playworks offers a unique perk: the chance to explore new corners of the Pacific Northwest, including the North Pole. You’ve heard of it, right? Located about 15 miles south of Fairbanks, Alaska, the North Pole is known for its year-round cheery spirit and proves to be an incredible travel destination even during the off-season. What is not to love about being surrounded by vibrant fall foliage, the flowing Chena River, and occasional views of the aurora borealis on a clear day.”

Playworks PACNW is making a significant impact in Alaska and is excited to return to Fairbanks North Star Borough School District, to continue to share the #PowerofPlay in the community. This year, the Playworks PACNW team will complete 4 Recess Reboot Trainings, and will reach over 3,000 students in Alaska, across all services!
