Playworks Washington to Participate in SVP Seattle Fast Pitch 2020

  1. Updates

Playworks Washington is thrilled to announce our participation in Social Venture Partner Seattle’s Fast Pitch 2020! Playworks is part of a cohort of 20 Seattle based organizations working to drive social change across a variety of service areas. Participants chosen are working across three tracks: established nonprofit, startup nonprofit, and for-profit social enterprise.

Jill Riemer, Playworks Washington Regional Director, will represent the team throughout the program which comprises many opportunities to hone ideas and improve pitches via structured learning sessions, practice clinics, and 1:1 mentorship. The program culminates on March 26, 2020 at the 9th Annual SVP Fast Pitch Final Showdown with up to 12 finalists pitching on-stage at Town Hall Seattle. Beyond access to mentorship, benefits of participation include collaboration with other innovators, exposure to community, business and philanthropic leaders, and the potential to win grant dollars and pro-bono awards.

What Is SVP Fast Pitch? SVP Fast Pitch highlights and propels social innovation in the Greater Puget Sound region and beyond. Innovators tackling local and societal challenges are paired with business and community leaders who help them powerfully communicate their story and accelerate impact. SVP Fast Pitch is a three-month intensive program of Social Venture Partners (SVP) Seattle. At SVP Seattle, 500+ Partners work together to build sustainable, inclusive communities in the Puget Sound region where everyone can thrive. Individual and corporate Partners pool funds for collective investments which are amplified by skills-based volunteering. Over the past 21 years, SVP has invested $18M and 50,000+ volunteer hours to strengthen and scale more than 150 organizations tackling critical social challenges in the region.

This recognition will help us continue to raise our visibility and expand our impact to even more kids in Seattle and the Greater Puget Sound. Congratulations and best of luck to our Playworks Washington team! Stay tuned and follow along with Playworks WA social media for more updates.
