Over 100 Girls Attend Basketball Jamboree at Blazers Boys and Girls Club

  1. Updates

On December 9, the Blazers Boys and Girls Club hosted our Girls Basketball Jamboree, with over 100 girls from Playworks schools in attendance! During our after-school basketball league, which runs throughout November and December, parents come to cheer while our coaches help the girls work on the fundamentals of the game including dribbling, passing, defense, and scoring.

Though we don’t keep score, the girls practice teamwork and get comfortable playing in a game atmosphere against other 4th and 5th graders from other Playworks schools in the community.
