An AmeriCorps Poem

A Playworks Office

In a Year of Service

by PacNW AmeriCorps coaches

My punch card is 100 high-fives.

My dress code is muddy shoes, stretchy pants, a whistle,

a smile, and this Playworks shirt.

People shout in my office & you’re encouraged to throw things.

My office changes with the weather.

My office supplies are thrown and kicked everywhere.

In my office, we solve problems like adults.

Success isn’t measured in profit or quarterly reports,

it’s measured in how well the team works;

the sound of laughter, high-fives, and cheering.

We are Playworks

We are AmeriCorps
