Standing Together

  1. Updates

Playworks is proud to be a 2014 Stand Together featured partner alongside eight other great Portland area nonprofits. Beginning this month, Playworks and  the Portland Timbers and Thorns FC in partnership with Stand Together will work together during Stand Together Week, Tix for Kids, Playworks Soccer Jamboree, and be a beneficiary at the adidas/Timbers Team Store.

“We are thrilled to be a partner of Stand Together, whose commitment to use sport to change the lives of youth will help bring more recognition to the importance of positive and inclusive play in our community and schools. Their support and partnership is crucial in bringing together community members to make a real difference in the lives of thousands of kids in the Portland metro area,”  says Playworks Executive Director Jonathan Blasher.

Stand Together represents the relationship between the Portland Timbers, Portland Thorns FC and fans and signifies a strong commitment to supporting and standing by the community both on and off the field. The mission of Stand Together is to harness the power of sport to improve the lives of children and families in the greater Portland area through targeted programs, deep partnerships, and philanthropic giving.
