Join City Club and Fight Against Sex Trafficking on June 21, when speaker Elizabeth Cushing, President and COO of Playworks, will speak about school bullying and its harmful consequences. Next, Dr. Ron Clark will speak on misogyny, and how it relates to bullying and other problems in our society.
Playworks is a national nonprofit organization that improves school climate, reduces bullying and increases student engagement in school through play and physical activity. It operates in 23 cities, including Portland, and serves 130,000 students daily in 300 schools.
Dr. Clark coordinates with Multnomah County's "John School" to provide voluntary counseling to offenders and trains audiences to understand the harmful effects misogyny has on our society.
