Struggling economy and winter blues affecting team morale? Looking to kickstart a new wellness program? Ready to celebrate a recent team success in a fun and engaging day? Searching for a team-building opportunity that also gives back to the community? Meet all those needs and reap other benefits with a Playworks Corporate Recess for you and 25 of your co-workers!

With funds from a KEEN Hybrid.Care grant and support from human catalyst, Kevin Carroll, we’re excited to roll out our Corporate Recess with a contest for the Portland Metro business community. Three lucky businesses will win a day of team-building and community engagement this spring that will help improve cooperation, creativity, confidence and conflict resolution.

What is Corporate Recess?
Our years of experience cultivating and training adults to transform school climates through the power of play have provided us with the insight to lead, teach and inspire play across the country. We have learned that this ability can be applied to children, teachers, coaches, parents, principals, lawyers, designers, engineers and CEOs. One hour of meaningful play can ignite the fuel for social-emotional enhancement and success at any age level.

Corporate Recess is a fun and active opportunity for your employees through two platforms: on-site team-building; and school-based community engagement. Developed by Playworks, the national leader in play, Corporate Recess is customized for you by our local experts to transform your work space to a playground or bring your team to help transform a school playground. It engages your staff in lively playground games that promote critical skills to help individuals and team succeed in ALL aspects of life and business, both personally and professionally:

  • Trust
  • Confidence
  • Creativity
  • Problem-solving
  • Collaboration
  • Teamwork
  • Empathy
  • Conflict Resolution
