Willamette Week chose us to participate in their annual Give! Guide effort. Last year this fundraiser brought in more than $900,000 for 79 local nonprofits. This year they raised over $1 million dollars and supporters contributed $5,000 to Playworks. The Give! Guide’s goal was to develop new donors for organizations like ours. The Willamette Week puts special emphasis on identifying new donors under the age of 36—and provides all sorts of incentives worth approximately $100,000 to help bring this about. In addition, our corporate partner, US Bank matched donations from US Bank employees.
