Playworks NorCal Run For Recess – April 27, 2014

Thank you all so much for coming to Run for Recess!  We had a wonderful turnout. Despite the fog, we ran together to support the power of play. Pictures will be posted in a few days… so please check back!

Run for Recess Race Information:

WHEN: Sunday, April 27, 2014 

WHERE: Bandshell, Music Concourse, Golden Gate Park, San Francisco, CA 
Registration/Check in—  Bandshell, Music Concourse, Golden Gate Park (between the DeYoung and Academy of Sciences)

COURSE OPTIONS:
1 Mile Fun Run – $15
5K Stow Lake Run/Walk – $25
Family Registration:  Register 4-6 people at once and receive a 15% discount at checkout!
5K DAY OF REGISTRATION – $35

EVENT SCHEDULE:  
8:00 a.m. – Registration and runner check-in opens
9:00 a.m. – 5K Stow Lake run/walk begins
10:00 a.m. – 1 Mile Fun Run begins

• Sponsor a runner!  An extra $15 when you register will sponsor a kid from one of our partner schools in the Fun Run!
• Link this site on your personal Facebook, Twitter, and other social networking sites or invite your friends to our facebook event
• Start training and ask your friends and family to sponsor your run!  Set up your own run pledge page through race roster, register now and check out your runner dashboard!
• Ask around the office to get a run team together, you can easily create or join a team when you register.
• Ask family and friends to run, or sponsor you or a kid in the fun run!

PARKING/TRANSPORTATION:  

There is limited street parking around Golden Gate Park. Due to street closures on Martin Luther King Drive and John F. Kennedy Drive, you must park outside and walk into the registration area.  We recommend taking public transportation.

By bus:
Line 44 to Academy of Sciences
Line 5 to 12th Avenue and Fulton Street
N- Judah to 9th Avenue and Irving Street
