  1. Updates

Playworks for everyone!

On June 27, Playworks Northern California and RealTime Oakland came together for a second evening of funGrown N’ Play 2, back by popular demand! Grown N’ Play is an event that fosters authentic connection in our community, rooted in wellness and social impact. It is a fun-filled evening of:

  • Large group recess-inspired games.
  • Networking and organic conversation.
  • Music and dancing.
  • Community organizations and vendors.
  • Bouncy house.
  • Food and drinks.
  • Raffle of local prizes!!

Over 100 people connected through play during the event! We began the evening with a Networking Scavenger Hunt to breakdown the barriers to communication. Large group games of tag and dodgeball were facilitated by Playworks staff, while other guests rotated through multiple foursquare courts in the space. Max Kane provided amazing music and skillhe even set us up with a lively game of musical chairs!

A big thanks to Drake’s Brewing Company, Guardian Gym, Stagebridge, and Sports Basement for providing raffle items to make the evening even more fun!

We are grateful to everyone who came out for the event and engaged with us in this space. There is no better way to create advocates for play than by providing the opportunity for our community to experience the value of play themselves.

Grown N’ Play is very fun, the games allow adults to be free and bring out our inner child. It also opens the space for adults to be purely themselves, and meet each other/network in an exciting, fun, and unorthodox way.
