Thank you for your interest in Playworks San Francisco Run for Recess.  Online registration is now closed. To register for our 5k Run or 1 mile Fun Run please come to our registration table at Stow Lake Drive and JFK Blvd. starting at 8am, Saturday, April 21st. Thank you again and we look forward to seeing you there!

Playworks’ Second Annual 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run for Recess is quickly approaching and we would like nothing more than to see our community band together in support of our movement for play. Join local students, teachers, business leaders and community members and we get moving in the name of play. All proceeds from the event will go to fund Playworks programming in 26 partner elementary schools across the Bay Area. 

Event Details 
WHEN: Saturday, April 21, 2012 
WHERE: Stow Lake, Golden Gate Park, San Francisco, CA 
Registration/Check in–  Pioneer Log Cabin Picnic Area (Stow Lake Drive, Golden Gate Park) 

COURSE OPTIONS: 
1 Mile Fun Run – $15
5K Stow Lake Run/Walk – $25
Team Registration – $60 (includes two 5k Runners and two 1 mile Fun Runners) 

EVENT SCHEDULE:   
8:00 a.m. – Registration and runner check-in opens
9:00 a.m. – 5K Stow Lake run/walk begins
10:00 a.m. – 1 Mile Fun Run begins

PARKING/TRANSPORTATION:  

There is limited street parking around Golden Gate Park but due to street closures on Martin Luther King Drive and John F. Kennedy Drive you must park outside and walk into the registration area.  We recommend taking public transportation.

Between Red Markers = Road Closure
Gray with Green Markers = Run Course (starting at intersection of Stow Lake Drive and JFK Boulevard, one lap around the lake and then down JFK Blvd. and back to end at same intersection as start line)
