Dreamforce Making Holiday Dreams Come True

  1. Updates

Sixty-five Playworks students from Starr King Elementary and Edison Charter Academy received brand new bikes during yet another successful Bike Build Event.  The build was part of a kick-off celebration for Salesforce.com Executives during Dreamforce last week.

Under the lofty ceilings of the Moscone Center in downtown San Francisco, 30 Salesforce Executives built bikes in teams of 4 while students played 4-square on the marble floors outside.  Following a raucous game of Partner to Partner, volunteers jumped right in, building 2 bikes a piece in only 2 hours!  San Francisco Urban Riders provided support and maintenance during the build to insure all bikes were well built and safe.  A mother of 2 students receiving bikes said, “I want to express my gratitude for making this possible, if you could see their expressions you would understand why I am so thankful.  At this time it is very difficult in our finances, but this is a very special Christmas for them, they got what they were wishing for.”
