First Annual Sourdough Cup Kicks off Playworks Staff Retreat

As the school year comes to a close, Playworks staff and Americorps members met at the Headlands Institute by Rodeo Beach Friday, April 23rd for our annual staff retreat. 2010 marked the inaugural year of the Sourdough Cup, where the Playworks team competes individually in fun, cooperative games for points.After a morning of training on identifying and remedying bullying on the playground and an afternoon filled with volleyball, marshmallow castles, Koosh 360, and Birds of Prey, Playworks' Kim Lombardi, Program Coordinator at Fairmount Elementary, became the first-ever winner of the Sourdough Cup. Everyone went home refreshed and ready to wrap up the school year armed with all the new games learned that day.
