Thank You from Playworks

Wednesday, November 19, 2014 is Playworks National Gratitude Day

Today marks Playworks’ third-annual National Gratitude Day. Each year, we set aside some time together as an organization to express our gratitude to those who have stood beside us advocating for children’s right to play. The work we are doing this year to reach more than 425,000 kids nationwide would not be possible without the support of thousands of people. Teachers, principals, administrators, support staff, student leaders, donors, volunteers, and corporate sponsors; all of these people provide the support that has kept Playworks growing steadily to increase children’s access to fun, healthy, and safe play.

One thing is very clear: we couldn’t do this without you. We think it’s important for all of us to share our gratitude with those who help us each and every day. Today, every Playworks employee will take two hours to reflect on those who’ve helped us over the years. Together we will make phone calls, send emails, give high fives, share photos online, and perhaps even break into song and dance. The goal is to authentically convey thanks to all of you who make our work possible and help us in all sorts of ways.

We hope that you will consider joining us this year by acknowledging those people who you are grateful for. Embrace your generous impulses by picking up the phone, writing a thank you note, pausing to appreciate the taste of your morning coffee, and taking a moment experience the joy of gratitude. #GratitudeDay
