Spread Joy, Support Playworks

When kids experience play that is safe and inclusive, the joy of being a child shines through.

It makes perfect sense. Kids can’t wait to jump into recess when they feel there’s a place for them on the playground. A place where every kid belongs, has fun and is part of the game.

Playworks creates that place for 435,000 students, and we want to do it for even more. You can make this happen by joining the thousands of kids, teachers, parents and educators who believe in the power of play to bring out the best in every kid.

Our specialty is recess. We play games like tag, four square and kickball. We teach kids rock, paper, scissors–another fun game that they use to settle their own disagreements. On our playgrounds, kids play hard, cheer loud and high five with joy.

And it’s this feeling of peace and belonging that they carry with them into their classrooms, back to their neighborhoods, and out into the world. Their parents, principals and teachers agree. At school, teachers tell us that Playworks boosts classroom teaching time and reduces disruptive behavior.

Imagine all the good things that could happen if every child felt the joy of this kind of recess every day.

A place on the playground for every kid, every day–that’s our ambitious goal. And we’re asking you to be a part of it. We’ve set the bar high and aim to raise $300,000 across the nation by December 31.

Please consider making a gift to Playworks of $35, $50, $100 or more. Your generous gift will create a recess where every child can experience the joy of play.

Thank you.
