Playworks is proud to receive the 2019 Top-Rated Award by GreatNonprofits, the leading provider of user reviews about nonprofit organizations.

“Playworks is a great example of a nonprofit making a real difference in their community,” said Perla Ni, CEO of GreatNonprofits. “Their award is well-deserved recognition not only of their work, but the tremendous support they receive, as shown by the many outstanding reviews they have received from people who have direct experience working with Playworks.”

Playworks received the Top-Rated Nonprofit award based on the large number of positive reviews written by our schools, supporters, and parents. Here are a few examples:

“Playworks has been a vital part of our transformation as a school. Not only do the kids now have complete ownership of our Playground, they take an immense amount of pride in being leaders on our campus. Overall we have seen a decrease of conflict on the playground as a direct result of the implementation of the Playworks program. Under the direction of our site coach, this program has been fantastic for the overall structure and routines of all our recesses, an opportunity for kids to learn good sportsmanship, an opportunity for kids and teachers to participate in fun physical activities both as teams and individuals, and a fantastic leadership opportunity for our students.” — Client

“Playworks is a wonderful organization that makes a meaningful impact on children and how they interact with one another. By focusing on how to resolve disputes, encouraging safe and active play at school and teaching stronger interpersonal and critical thinking skills, Playworks help children prepare to become responsible adults. Playworks efforts also help improve academic outcomes because children are better focused and ready to learn after coming off the playground feeling valued and energized. I love this organization and its mission!” — Board Member

Thank you to everyone whose support made this recognition possible.
