Join us for the Tenth Annual Playworks Run for Recess, a family-friendly 5K and One-Mile Fun Run on Saturday, May 18.
Run for Recess offers opportunities for the whole family to get involved at Franklin Park’s world-famous cross-country course adjacent to the zoo! All participants will enjoy a fun family environment, an electronically timed race, and an awesome gift bag. Awards will be presented to the top three finishers, and certificates will be distributed for various age and gender categories. See photos from last year’s event here.

Saturday, May 18, 2019 (rain or shine!)
- Pre-registration and registration opens at 8:30 a.m.
- One-Mile Fun Run beings at 10 a.m.
- 5K Run for Recess begins at 10:30 a.m.
- Recess 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.

$10 Youth Entry Fee (Under 18)

$25 Adult Entry Fee (Over 18)
