We asked students at Playworks partner school to finish the sentence: “I love recess because…” Here are a few of their responses:

“I love recess because I get to hang out with my friends and talk to Coach Lai. Also I get to see my friends that are not in mu class!”
“I love recess because I get to hang with my friends and get to play games like tag, kickball, so that’s why I love recess!”
“I love recess because I get to have free time from class.”
“I love recess because I get to play with my friends and I get to play games with my friends.”
“I love recess because I am a Junior Coach and I can play with kids.”
“I love recess because of basketball, American football and baseball.”
“I love recess because I get to…talk, play games, run, no work, air.”
“I love recess because it gives me a break from doing work.”
