Coach Keith Makes Excellent Happen

  1. Updates

Coach Keith is a returning program coordinator who is no stranger to the mission and values of Playworks.

Entering his third year with Playworks Metro Boston, he has mastered the art of creating respectful, healthy and inclusive play at recess while building a healthy community in and around his school. Always willing to lend a helping hand and a true team player, we knew going into this school year that Keith would be the perfect candidate for flex coordinator. Flex coordinators are Playworkers that rather than being assigned to just one school, help out at all schools in the city as needed.

During the month of September, Coach Keith proved our predictions to be correct. He was the ultimate team player and helped transition multiple new coaches at several schools throughout the city. The other coaches in Boston turn to Keith for new ideas, cheers, transitions and advice. Keith is more than willing to step up to this task and even created his own section of the Boston website labeled the Flex’s Corner to answer any questions his peers may have.

Coach Keith has worked at two different school sites during the first month of the school year. At these sites he built rapport with members of the school staff and helped first year coaches acclimate to the exhausting yet rewarding schedule of a program coordinator. Keith has been a valuable asset to the 2012-2013 Program staff and a role model for both students and coaches. We look forward to the exciting school year ahead with Keith as our flex coordinator!
