Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts’ Play Day!

  1. Updates

BCBS' "Blue Crew" teamed up with Playworks for a day of recess rehabilitation on Wednesday, 10/20. Three groups visited Playworks schools: the Orchard Gardens in Roxbury, the BTU in Jamaica Plain, and the Manning, also in J.P. After being trained on site, the volunteers dove right into recess, playing 4-Square, Massive Switch, Basketball, and other games with Coaches Brian, Brittany, Ben and their students.

We want to take the opportunity to thank the following rock star volunteers for jumping right in and helping Playworks use recess as a vehicle to improve students' experience at school!

These Blue Crew members had such a great time that we're in the process of setting up another volunteer visit with a new team! We're really excited to have more BCBS employees volunteer with us; after all, we do share a mission of improving the health and well-being of MA. For more photos, visit the BCBS album on our Facebook page: Playworks Metro Boston. We'll also update this story as our BCBS partnership develops!
