Minnesota Twins Visit Whittier Elementary

  1. Updates

On Friday, May 20th, the Minnesota Twins joined Playworks at Whittier Elementary School for recess and some wiffle ball fun! As part of the Minnesota Twins and Major League Baseball's Play Ball initiative, shortstop Jorge Polanco and pitcher Michael Tonkin played a game of wiffle ball with 5th and 3rd grade students out at recess.

The Play Ball initiative aims to get kids across the country interested in playing baseball at school, home, and in the community. In addition to throwing pitches to the students, Jorge and Michael passed out plenty of high-fives and autographs for the students. Playworks is proud to be a partner of the Minnesota Twins and their efforts to get more kids playing in our community!
