Playworks & EduPaths Partner Together to Grow the Power of Play

  1. Updates

Playworks Michigan is proud to announce a partnership with EduPaths to bring the power of play to schools across the state. EduPaths is an online professional development platform for educators with courses designed to expand their respective understanding on a variety of topics.

On October 5, EduPaths will launch “Power of Play: Strategies for Integrating Play and into your Classroom” in collaboration with PlayworksU. Through this course, participants will be introduced to the power of play to support a positive school climate and provide actionable strategies to build rapport and community both on the playground and in the classroom.

Educators will have the opportunity to evaluate specific areas of growth using the Recess Checkup and create plans of action to address challenges. Using Playworks’ evidence-based group management strategies, participants will learn the fundamentals of building trust, community and teamwork to establish safe and healthy play for all students.

Playworks Michigan is excited to collaborate with EduPaths to provide a unique and self-paced digital tool for local educators to bring play to the classroom and further Playworks Michigan’s goal to reach 60,000 kids in 120 schools by December 2020.
