Playworks Indiana and Everwise Foundation Announce Exciting Partnership to support youth leadership development.

Indianapolis, IN, October 21, 2024 – Playworks Indiana is thrilled to announce that the Everwise Foundation has invested $15,000 to support elementary aged students through Playworks’ peer-mentorship and leadership development program, the Junior Coach Leadership Program (JCLP).

This year-long academic program provides program participants with training and mentoring to develop their leadership skills and effectiveness as a peer role model. JCLP provides students with authentic opportunities to put new skills into practice. Peer mentoring helps students to enhance social and life skills. They learn to trust their fellow students and adults, while realizing that they are not alone. The culmination of JCLP is the annual Playworks Indiana Junior Coach Leadership Retreat. Playworks Indiana is thrilled to have the Evervise Foundation as the Presenting Sponsor.

“The Everwise Foundation is pleased to support Playworks Indiana and its Junior Coach Leadership Program,” said Amy Wells, Everwise Area Manager and Playworks Indiana Board Member. “By providing students with regular training and mentoring, Playworks reinforces positive engagement and fosters the development of leadership traits for its participants. The communities we serve are a priority for us, so it’s wonderful that we can help shape tomorrow’s leaders today.”

Playworks’ ultimate goal is to create an educational environment where students interact and play with their peers, develop strong social and emotional skills, take on leadership roles, and become successful learners.

“It is important that all students feel safe, supported and included. With Everwise Foundation’s partnership, not only are we able to develop student’s leadership skills, but we are able to positively impact every student at a Playworks partner school” says Playworks Indiana’s Director, Audrey Hallmann.
