All IN Sports: Expanding our Impact

  1. Updates

All IN Sports could be coming to a school near you! Playworks Indiana, in partnership with Indiana Sports Corp, is thrilled to be expanding our All IN Sports Leagues as its own service program.

Playworks has been working with Indiana Sports Corp for the past two years to grow our non-competitive leagues program. Our leagues allow third and fourth graders from our Coach service schools to participate in four after school leagues that currently include soccer, flag football, girls basketball, and kickball. These four sessions, which are of no cost to students’ families, provide opportunities for collaborative learning in a positive, non-competitive, team-driven environment. All four leagues conclude with an exciting jamboree event in an Indy sporting venue, where families and faculty are invited to cheer on their students as they play a series of games against other participating schools.

In the 2023-2024 school year, Playworks hopes to expand this program to be offered as a stand alone service. This will give schools the low-cost opportunity to have leagues at their school without any other Playworks component, like Coach (Don’t know what Coach is? Learn more here!). This service not only gets schools access to the jamboree, but also consultative coaching hours, a sport-specific curriculum, administrative support/infrastructure, school-specific data collection, and access to helpful online resources that make after school programming successful.

We are so excited for more kids to get the chance to play everyday! To bring All IN Sports to your school contact our Program Specialist Nicholas Pointer at nicholas.pointer@playworks.org

Special shutout to our current league participants Robert Frost 106, Matchbook Learning, Daniel Webster 46, Thomas Gregg Neighborhood School, Anna Brochausen 88, Center for Inquiry at School 2, Clinton Young Elementary, and James Russell Lowell!
