Playworks Indiana’s 2022 Corporate Kickball Tournament was a spectacular day! We are so excited to share a recap of the day, filled with amazing plays, awesome kicks, and a lot of comradery and fun! The Sponsors: We had so many amazing sponsors join this year to create an unforgettable day for our participants. Thank you to Sun King Brewery for returning as our beer sponsor; shout out to Yamallama Deli for joining for the first year as our lunch sponsor; and give it up for Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance keeping folks hydrated as our water station sponsor. Also, an extra special dose of gratitude for local businesses in Indy who provided prizes for our superlative award winners: Urban Vines Winery, Penn and Beech, Guggman Haus Brewing Co., Pacers Sports & Entertainment, Indianapolis Orchestra, Pins Mechanical, and Heartland Film Festival. And last but certainly not least, thank you to Pike Township Fire for being onsite as our health and safety crew. Our day would not have been the same without you and all your support!
The Returning Teams: Our retuners came to play this year! We were so excited to see JD FinishLine, Salesforce, Indiana Sports Corp, One America, and Zylo come back to compete for the coveted 1st place trophy! Thank you for being a constant and dedicated partner of Playworks and our work in Indiana!
The New Teams: We were so excited to welcome new teams from Pike Township Fire and Rotary Club of Indianapolis to the tournament this year. Even though Pike Fire had to pull their team the morning of, we are so grateful to both teams for your enthusiasm to be a part of the 2022 tournament. See you next year for round two!
The High Five Club: The High Five Club is Playworks Indiana’s network of monthly givers who know that consistent support is critical for nonprofits to weather periods of uncertainty and change.Through exclusive updates, you will gain access to stories direct from the playground, volunteer opportunities, and our annual Corporate Kickball Tournament. Thank you to our participants who joined The High Five Club at Kickball! You are making a difference on playgrounds throughout Indiana every single day!
The Champions: No surprise here, the day was filled with some tough competition starting in the very first game and lasting all the way until the end of the tournament. Coming in at Third place was one of our first time teams, Rotary Club of Indianapolis! WOO HOO! You all really crushed it and kept your team enthusiasm up for the entire day. Second place went to JD FinishLine after a strong showing in the final games! Great job! And finally, Salesforce, the defending champions, held the top position all day and showed that they wanted it more than anyone else and took home the Championship Trophy!!
