Fun with Playworks and Leadership for Greater Chicago

  1. Updates

On September 13, Playworks staff and AmeriCorps coaches helped this year’s cohort of Leadership for Greater Chicago Fellows kick off a year of civic leadership and learning. Leadership for Greater Chicago (LGC) is a year-long Signature Fellows Program that immerses the most promising leaders from the private, nonprofit, and public sectors in the major socio-economic issues facing the greater Chicago area. Previous fellows include Chicago Public Schools Chief Executive Officer Janice Jackson and our Executive Director, Colleen Harvey!

This is the third year Playworks Illinois has partnered with LGC to create a fun, safe, and playful recess for new fellows.  This year’s group enjoyed big group games like I Love My Neighbor and Sprout Tag, along with game stations like Medic Dodgeball and Foursquare. The highlights were the great energy and positive words of encouragement during Ro Sham Bo Rockstar. Check out the video below!
