Presenting… Jennifer Smith

  1. Updates

At Playworks Illinois, we’re lucky to have Coach Jen back for a second year! She’s bringing recess to Perkins Bass Elementary School on the South Side of Chicago. She continues to show her commitment to service and her school’s community by going above and beyond to ensure safe, meaningful and inclusive play.

As a second year, Coach Jen mentors Gaby, a first year coach new to Playworks. This past month Jen rolled up her sleeves to help paint Gaby’s unique and large playground with colorful play areas.

Coach Jen has approached the year with an open mind, open heart and is enthusiastic about creating opportunities for play at Bass Elementary School. Taking the lessons she learned last year, she has been dedicated to making an impact at her school.

You get a “Woosh Clap” this month for your strong return, Coach Jen! Thank you for all that you do!
