Purple Team Took Home the Win at Playworks Rock, Paper, Scissors Showdown!

  1. Updates

Playworks supporters from far and wide gathered at Improper City on Wednesday evening for an epic tournament showdown of Rock, Paper, Scissors Relay. Six teams battled it out in true Playworks fashion for the opportunity to be crowned the 2018 Rock, Paper, Scissors Champion. Tournament players sported headbands, onesies, and glow sticks and flaunted their team spirit at every opportunity. After five rounds of fierce competition, the Purple team was crowned champion while high fives, cheers, and smiles were shared by all. Participants and spectators alike bought raffle tickets equal to their height, bid on eight different silent auction baskets, and made numerous donations to benefit Playworks kids across Colorado.

Raffle prizes included a $100 gift card to the award-winning sushi restaurant Uchi and one year’s worth of coffee from Pablo’s. Silent auction baskets were packed with a variety of tantalizing items under categories such as “Fitness,” “Colorado Life,” and “Date Night.” Under the direction of Playworks trainers Patsy and Mo and the Playworks Young Professional Board, the event raised more than $4,000. It was another incredibly successful night to give every kid the opportunity for safe and healthy play every day!

Thank you again to Improper City for hosting us, to all the generous sponsors and corporate partners who donated items for our auction and prizes, and to all of our incredible participants, attendees, and Playworks supporters! Stay tuned for the 2019 Rock, Paper, Scissors Tournament!
