Playworks Colorado Wraps an Impactful, High-Energy Summer

  1. Updates

After finishing a successful school year, we carried the energy into the summer by holding events to get our community engaged in the power of play.

In July, we were selected as the Nonprofit of the Month with a local Aurora brewery that prioritizes giving back: Two22 Brew. For every $10.00 raised, $2.22 supported Playworks. Thanks to our friends at Two22 Brew, we're able to scale our efforts to empower the next generation of kind, active leaders, and raise awareness about Playworks Colorado.

We also hosted a Happy Hour at Two22 Brew. Attendees included local administrators, teachers, and community members, all of whom knew nothing about Playworks but soon grew to champion play. Foursquare was the game of choice among our attendees, and the Playworks team introduced different challenges to keep our participants engaged.

We are planning to host more happy hours throughout the year, so stay tuned.

Finally, we closed off the summer with a relaxing event: Yoga in the Park. Our partners, White Lotus Therapeutics, helped us host this inaugural fundraiser. Yoga-lovers of all levels came together at Sloans Lake to help make safe, healthy play a reality for more kids in Colorado.

Playworks Colorado would like to thank all of our supporterts who joined us this summer. We look foward to creating new ways for our community to have fun and give back.
