Congratulations to Coach Blanca, our Staff Member of the Month

  1. Updates

Coach Blanca is the third-grade recess coach at Granada Primary, and she is a perfect fit!

Since day one, she has expressed that she was super excited to have this position because she just loved how it transformed the school.

She makes sure that all the Junior Coaches are recruited and ready to go for training. She also goes out of her way to make sure she knows each and Junior Coach and supports them in every way possible.

Blanca empowers her Junior Coaches by constantly letting them know how important they are to the school and what a great job they are doing. She is always recruiting other kids to play games with the Junior Coaches. This interaction with the young leaders gives other students the practice they need to feel more confident in their stations. Every time that our Playworks staff is on campus, Blanca can always give a detailed summary on each Junior Coach, including their strengths and challenges. This just goes to show how much attention she is giving them on a daily basis.

She is also not afraid to ask for help and makes sure she communicates what she needs in order to be a successful recess coach.

We appreciate Coach Blanca for the person that she is and for the amazing advocate she is for Playworks!
